Children’s Ministry

New Zion Children’s Ministry Mission:

To help children become committed followers of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this through helping children live the Way of Christ:

Love God (Attend) – We Worship

We teach children who God is and what it looks like to live in a loving relationship with him. We show them how to come before his presence and be thankful for all he has done for us. Mark 12:30 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Build Character (Grow) – We Disciple

Through relationally based programs and events like birthday fellowships and baptisms we partner with parents and assist children in taking steps of spiritual growth. John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you.

Love People (Connect) – We Fellowship

Through programs such as Pearls of Zion, Scouts and BOOC, children will experience consistent community with peers and adult leaders who serve as spiritual leaders. John 13:34 Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Be the Body (Serve) – We Serve

We help children realize that they are part of a collective body bigger than themselves and that through God’s power they can make a significant difference in the world for Christ. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Lead (Multiply) – We Evangelize

As children grow in their faith, we help them see that they can influence others for Christ. 2 Timothy 2:2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.
